New Online Course Students (signed up after April 2026)


If you are a Guided Online Course student and have submitted an Expression Video Assignment (or other manually graded assignment), but the assignment is not showing as completed, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into your account: https://login.startasl.com
  2. Follow the steps in this article to see if your assignment has already been graded: https://helpdesk.startasl.com/support/solutions/articles/9000192228-submission-assignments-and-grading
  3. If your assignment has not been graded, and it has been at least 10 business days since you have submitted your assignment, please open a support ticket so we can help. 


Note: Manual grading and feedback is not included in Self-Study course options. 


Legacy Online Course Students (signed up prior to April 2026)

If you have submitted an Expression Video Assignment, but the assignment is not showing as completed, please follow these steps:


  1. First check if you have received a grade on your assignment. To do so, visit your Gradebook for the course and look under the Video Submissions category:

    7. ASL 3 (Legacy): https://courses.startasl.com/grade/report/index.php?id=4
  2. If you have NOT received a grade, please wait at least 5 business days from submission for your assignment to be graded. If it has been over 5 business days since you have submitted your assignment, please open a support ticket so we can check on the status for you. 
  3. If you HAVE received a grade on the assignment, but the assignment is not showing as completed, please submit a new attempt for the assignment with "Already submitted assignment previously" in the text box. You do not need to submit your video again. This should resolve the issue.
