Thank you for your interest in our courses!

To see all of our options for teachers, schools, and organizations, please visit https://teachers.startasl.com for our most up-to-date offers.

A few of our options are explained below:

1. If you have an ASL teacher who will be teaching in a classroom:

They can use the Start ASL Teacher's Curriculum (https://www.startasl.com/teachers-curriculum/) in the classroom and use the handouts and videos from the curriculum to conduct activities in the classroom or assign them for the students to complete at home (more information about that can be found here) or one of our Online Course options for each student (http://online.startasl.com). The Teacher's Curriculum is a collection of downloadable MP4 videos and PDF files for use in the classroom by an ASL teacher.

2. If you have an ASL teacher who will be facilitating self-study and practice:

Students can complete our courses in a self-study environment using the Online Course (https://online.startasl.com) or Offline Course (https://offline.startasl.com) and teachers can meet with students to facilitate learning, practice, and even grading. Students would each need their own Start ASL account and course access purchase for the Online Course or their own purchase for the Offline Course. Students cannot share accounts or downloads.

With the Online Course, students' grades are tracked automatically by the program and with the Gold option, the students receive feedback on their signing assignments as well as any documentation you may require in order to award credit. If you want to sign up multiple students for the Online Course, you can find more information about our Group Purchase option in this article.

With the Offline Course, students can complete their workbooks to be graded by the teacher. The teacher would also be responsible for grading and providing feedback for signing assignments. If you want to sign up multiple students for the Offline Course, you can find more information about our Curriculum Licensing option in this article.

ASL teachers can then bring the class together and explain the content in depth. Teachers can plan in-person signing practice, vocabulary and fingerspelling practice, and expand on the concepts learned in the course.

3. If you do not have an ASL teacher who will be teaching the class:

Students can be enrolled individually in our Online Course (https://online.startasl.com). They would each need their own Start ASL account and course access purchase. With the Online Course, students' grades are tracked automatically by the program and with the Gold option, the students receive feedback on their signing assignments as well as any documentation you may require in order to award credit. If you want to sign up multiple students for the Online Course, you can find more information about our Group Purchase option in this article.
